Camera clubs across Cornwall are now rapidly moving towards the business end of their club year and we at Penryn Camera Club are no different. It has been a great year so far with an excellent and varied programme. We have had teaching sessions, critique evenings, competitions both within the club and between clubs and we have been blessed with some really enjoyable visiting speakers. So it was last Thursday that the club opted for an evening of lighter entertainment. Mandy Hanson, our Competitions Secretary lead a quiz night. It was time to test the brain power of members on general knowledge as well as their photographic experience. At the end of a highly entertaining evening which was enjoyed by all Christine Hamshaw stepped up to take first prize, with Keith Russ second, Stuart Ford and Victor Tulin equal third and Wendy Bate taking fourth place. Each of them gratefully accepted some Easter themed prizes. This week the club is looking to the future as it considers items for discussion at the club’s upcoming annual general meeting, and an opportunity to say what they would like in next year’s programme.
