PCC News of the Week:
Don’t forget if you want to display your prints at the Town Hall on Penryn Fair Day, you need to either come down to The Space on Thursday 26th at 7.30pm OR on Friday 27th at 6.30pm at the Town Hall in order to title your prints, affix Velcro to the rear of them and help set up the display stands.
Don’t forget the club needs VOLUNTEERS to assist in the Town Hall and to talk to visitors and hopefully recruit new PCC members.
Just a note regarding the CPA 50th Anniversary on 11th September, although the preferred method of booking your ticket is via the Eventbrite link below, as an alternative for those of you who are Internet-shy you can Email me and I will book your ticket. Meetings
As we know the weather Gods refused to play ball last week but hopefully we will have better luck this week for our Summer Meet-Up Picnic at Boscawen Fields in the “No Dogs” picnic field on SUNDAY 22nd August at 1pm. There are a couple of concrete picnic tables there and I will bring a portable large table, but please bring your own food, drink, camping chairs, picnic rugs, Frisbees, kites etc. Weather is still looking good. IMPORTANT NOTE – Friends and Family WELCOME.
As mentioned above - Next meeting at The Space is Thursday 26th August 7.30pm @ The Space will be a PRACTICAL for YOU to select your Prints, Title them and attach the required Velcro tape which the club will provide.
NEW SEASON - You will shortly be receiving your 2021-2022 Penryn CC Programme, within you will see that our new seaon starts on 2nd September with physical meetings resuming at The Space. As you may also know, we are attempting to run “Hybrid” Physical/Virtual meetings which is a challenge technically, so please bear with your committee as we battle with the Techno-gremlins!!

If you’ve got this far well done! Don’t forget that we always welcome YOUR stories and would encourage you to send in your contribution any time for publication. Just a couple of paragraphs and photos would be great!
I just thought I would mention again how nice it is to give back sometimes and provide an example. I drove to Carn Brea on Tuesday and got chatting to some young folks from London who were doing a bit of climbing. As I’ve said many times don’t be worried about asking for a photo, as they were delighted to pose, so I gave them my contact details to enable one of them to contact me and send a copy. I also mention that the photo may well be used for club competitions etc in order for them to know it will be published. Spookily “Charlie” has literally just contacted me for a copy!!
