As agreed by your newly elected committee at the first committee meeting on 17th May last, it was unanimously agreed that for this first time in our club history, the minutes of this and each subsequent meeting should be circulated to PCC members. They are attached to this week’s newsletter for your further information and consideration.

Competitions As you will see at the last committee meeting we discussed the idea of having a “Freedom Competition” series over the Summer so it may well be coming to you shortly !!

Penryn Jubilee Celebrations – Monday 30th May to Saturday 4th June. Below you willsee the latest programme along with the allocated photographers. If I have anything wrong or if you wish to join in please let me know. PCC members are still welcome to join in !

MONDAY 30TH May at 7.30pm Temperance Hall History Talk – “A Right Royal Connection” What the town did or didn’t do in 1902. Past mayors discuss. Photographer: Jeanette Ruberry

TUESDAY 31st May at 10am Penryn Library Crown making with “The Little Craft Room” – drop in during the morning Photographer: PHOTOGRAPHER WANTED

WEDNESDAY 1st June at 2pm Temperance Hall Royal Garden Party hosted by the Mayor The “Forget-me-not Singers” followed by afternoon Tea – (Bring your own cup/plate). Dress up with a hat etc if you wish. Royal Cake competition – Victoria Sponge – Photograph/Adult Crown judging by the Mayor at ** Ring 01326 – 373086 to reserve a seat. Photographer: Dee Cope

THURSDAY 2nd June at 2pm – Temperance Hall Royal Tea Dance with Ron Bunyan – refreshments available – Free entrance Photographer: Claire Dougal & Eve Govier THURSDAY 2nd June at 7pm – (Penryn) Exchequer Quay “The Queen” and Royal party will arrive by boat at 7pm to be met by the Mayor and VIPs. Short service followed by live music “The Prevention” 9.15pm Jubilee Beacon lighting with refreshments available from the Quay cafe. SATURDAY 4th June – Jubilee Town Carnival at 6.30pm Memorial Gardens 7pm – Marine Town Band, Boys and Girls Brigade and Embrace dance and majorettes. Join in with prizes for best entries. Photographer: Karen Burton & Derek Godridge SUNDAY 5th June – Party In The Park at 1pm till 5pm Trelawney Park Mayor opens at 1pm followed by Scruffy Mutts dance group. PCC Annual Awards & Celebration Dinner – Saturday 25th June – 5.30pm for 6pm Why not enjoy a fabulous evening together, celebrating our splendid achievements for 2022! 1. The CPA Annual Competition We had a good turnout of members for this CPA annual inter club battle and our final placing of 7th was pretty good considering the high quality of entries.
