Editor - Derek Godridge with Paul Cooper

Last night was another summer treat to Porthleven where we thoroughly enjoyed our Fish and Chips and err...... Oh yes took some photos too !! Why not head on over to our Facebook page for more samples!

Porthleven 1

“Photo London” Trip Jan and I had a great weekend and as mentioned last week visited the superb Photo London event at Somerset House - see if you can spot anyone you might know !

“Photo London” Trip

Banger Racing (Paul Cooper) Thanks to Ash running about, the group gradually coalesced near the double-decker bus. On arrival the few £’s discount Karen organised made us feel special. Thanks, Karen. We were on an embankment so had a great view of the track, including two corners where most of the action happened.

A few fender-benders but I didn’t see a spectacular photo-worthy crash - where do we go for a refund? Regrettably, the evening rain arrived a bit too early dampening the day literally and figuratively BUT we all had some images “in the bag” before that happened.

Banger Racing (Paul Cooper)

Things we discovered: Bring your own seat, the ground is hard! Some of the drivers were younger than anticipated. Move your camera off specialist settings (Sepia, Bird watching) before half the racing is over :-). Names are withheld to protect the guilty. Bring your own food, the queues are glacerial. Banger racing is more fun than we anticipated and we would all go back again, especially on a sunny afternoon. Nobody in PCC had a single clue about the scoring, how they spotted a winner or what was happening from start to finish! As always loads of laughter, and chatter as our happy band enjoyed another summer (?) outing.

A bit dusty

Are you watching?
