Newsletter #105 Friday 25th March 2022

Editor - Derek Godridge with Paul Cooper

Last night’s meeting went off well with some important issues discussed in time for our upcoming AGM. The main issue was “What to do with the Trophies”? This was felt to be of concern due to the ever-rising cost of new shields and cups and the near £200 cost of engraving etc. Much discussion ensued and it was finally decided as follows:

  • The obsolete trophies would have their small shields and plaques removed and added to a physical “Honours Board” in order to cherish those names and Trophy winners of the past. Said Trophies to be donated to relevant sporting clubs.

  • We would also create a “digital” Honours Board” within our website by gathering all named winners of trophies past and present.

  • Finally, all future winners would hold the relevant trophy for a year, but it would no longer be engraved. Their names would be added to the on-line “Honours Board” on the PCC website.
