Kevin Leah had a mammoth task sifting through sixty images while judging the Penryn Camera Club’s “Image of the Year” competition. Entries must have featured in any competition sometime in the last 12 months so this competition had high entry-level criteria.

The competition breaks down into three categories, Colour and Mono (any editing) and Off Camera (no editing except a little cropping). Kevin then chose an outright Image of the Year which was “The Artists” by Maly Pellerin.

Kevin took his time on each image saying what he felt worked well, and what could improve a similar shot in the future. I think everybody learned something and some of us took it as a master class. Thank you Kevin for the time and effort spent in planning and delivering your results.

All the images are on our Facebook page, Facebook.com/PenrynCC/ and our website. Now is an ideal time to join us as we contemplate our calendar for next year. Photographers of any gender, any age or any photographic ability are welcome. www.penryncameraclub.org.uk and look for the Contact Us form on the top menu bar. Don’t like links?
