For a club on our summer break, the Penryn Camera club have had a busy week. We started at the United Downs Raceway on Sunday. We have never been before but everybody enjoyed the excitement of the races and the occasional crashes. Loads of photo’s taken and some good ones “in the bag”. We will be returning.

Thursday we ventured down to Porthleven where we photographed waves breaking over the jetty - some of us getting closer than we wanted to the water eh Darren? - before chomping on fish and chips or enjoying one of the local pubs.

Friday found us venturing far North to St Austell to enjoy the Cornwall Photographic Alliance (CPA) competition where 11 of the 13 clubs in Cornwall showed their best images. The best photographers collected silverware and the whole evening was professionally and smoothly run.

Thursday 26th will find us at Portreath hoping to catch a North Coast sunset. You are welcome to join us as long as you enjoy photography interspersed with laughter and chatter. Any camera from a mobile phone, iPad, film, point-and-shoot, compact to high-end DSLR and any ability to use them welcome.
