Inspiration & Ideas
Create a folder in the top level of your pictures folder called "Inspiration" or "Ideas". Next whenever you see an image that you think 'wow' either save the image to ideas or take a screen shot of it, remane the screenshot accordingly and drop it into ideas.

Once you have a few images set your favourite image editor to open this folder by default everytime you use it. (It's easy to step up one level to Photos then down to the images you really want BUT it puts your 'wow' list into your mind again.
Similarly point your desktop/laptop screensaver to this folder and again these images will be quietly embedded in your mind.
When you have a competition open this folder in icon view and you may well see something relevant and new to try.
