Following our recent inter club battle last Monday all the members were then looking forward to our evening on Thursday. The club were delighted to welcome back local photographers Andrew Ray of Cornish Landscape Photography and his father John who gave an amazing evening presentation of some of their digital images. Andrew’s special interest is travel photography and he opened the first half of the evening with a display of photographs that he took last November in Scotland. His digital images of lochs and castles were simply stunning. As ever it was particularly helpful to hear Andrew describe the techniques that he used to achieve such wonderful photos. The colours and lights achieved were breath taking. After a brief drinks break we were then treated to John showing and discussing recent images that he had taken. John’s area of particular interest is the photographing of flowers that he has grown. And what amazingly beautiful images they were too! Andrew then returned to deliver a further short display and talk of other images he has taken. It was a really brilliant evening and we are so grateful to them both.
