Club Exhibition Report 2019

The waiting was over and last week for Penryn Camera Club members the time had arrived! During Penryn Week the club held its annual photographic exhibition in Penryn Town Hall. Preparation for the exhibition takes place for weeks beforehand as the club’s selection committee review images submitted throughout the year and a selection of prints and digital images were on show. After setting up on Thursday morning then at noon it was time to open the doors and greet the public! It’s a great opportunity to showcase our work and to meet with visitors, to hear what they like and to listen to their stories of photos that they have taken and to hopefully introduce a few new people to the rich enjoyment that is to be had from photography, whether that is via a camera on a phone, a compact camera or a digital slr. As always we were delighted to welcome the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Penryn and a wide variety of visitors. Some visitors had their portraits taken in our mobile studio and one lucky visitor received a copy of their favourite photo. It was, everyone agreed, another great event! www.penryncameraclub.org.uk
